Exclamation Selling on the Forum

Hi

From today (27th September 2005) we will charge for you to list your products for sale on the forum. This is for 2 reasons.

1) To make it harder for 'scammers' to post products for sale (They would not wish to pay to sell)

2) Create extra revenue for the forum in order to meet our goals (Currently getting an advert in Trader Mag for 6 months).

Sellers have a choice to buy a 1 year sellers membership, or a lifetime membership. These will be priced as follows:

1 Years Membership- £15
Lifetime Membership- £25

There are a number of added benefits to registered sellers. Firstly, you will get the title of "Registered Seller". This will show other members that it is safe to deal with you. Another benefit is that your PM limit will now be 200 messages compared to the 50 to normal members.

We are not currently accepting new sellers

When making payment, please make sure you put your username in the notes section on Paypal, so that we know who has made the payment. Once payment has gone through, you will be able to post in the 'For Sale' section within 24 hours.

If you have any worries whatsoever, please get in contact with me and I will help where I can.

Thanks

James

IMO do you expect people to donate and pay to sell?

Good question.

I do not 'expect' people to donate. Donations come because the sender wants to contribute to the site. The selling fee, will directly help their business. They are essentially 2 different things.

However, if you have donated, we are willing to allow you to put that donation towards a selling membership.

I haven't donated yet but I was going to see how close you got the target and once a certain amount was needed I would then top it up.
