Default Thread dates

Hey Anthony,

This is just a small suggestion but why don't you place each thread in order of date?

Its just sometime I might be en quiring about a particular product which is almost 3 months old. I know you have the date on the thread, just sometimes I forget.

I dont know what any of the other users feel about this, was just a little suggestion.

Oh and sorry if this has been mentioned before.

Threads are sorted in order of the last reply to the given topic. A thread that has been running for 6 months may appear to be at the top of the list if somebody has recently posted in it or the last post date (newest reply) was recent.

What is your suggestion? (If still applicable).

sorry if was unclear, my suggestion was why not do it in order of date maybe. Then people might not be replying to posts that are 6 months old and now irrelevant.

To me that wouldn't make sense? For instance and like I have already explained, a thread only comes to the top of the pile according to the latest reply. If you had it the other way round all the latest posts would be at the bottom of the pile, what would be the point in that?

Its very rare people drag up really old threads. What's even more rare is for somebody to pick up on it and mention it to the culprit soon after they have posted.

Also if advertisers wish to have the thread closed then it can be by one of the team (not sure if the registered sellers have this functionality within their own threads?). This will obviously solve the issue..

i meant the newest thread would obviously be at the top of each topic. But i can understand your point.
