I visit a lot of forums and something which is common on a few on them is a front page. This page gives loads of information, popular threads, guides and useful links, its also a place which will explain to the newbies what the website does, and at the bottom their can be a banner saying

'You need to be a paid seller to advertise here'

This may actually save a lot of mod time.

So you want to scrap the idea of the index.html page being redirected to the forum?

I would agree it would be a less of a hassle for the Mods.

Agreed with Pete on this one. Every time I've seen them on other forums, all I've done is looked for the link "Forum". They don't serve any real purpose as far as I'm concerned.

Just bookmark it. I do like the idea of a front page and belive it would help the mods.

I think the decision would be split, however, those who dont want it can bookmark straight to the forum. It is useful and would save the mods a lot of time if the newbs read the front page before they came on the forum.
