Default My posts keep being removed

Hi

Can someone from admin please clear something up

Please note this post is not a complaint at anyone its simply so I know where I stand

I posted a reply to someone recently who was asking for an item, I had one for sale the post was deleted, I have no problem with that post being removed as it was against the rules and I was stupid enough not to read the rules

However I have recently responded to a couple off posts that were asking for a wholesaler, I passed the information in via a reply to the threads but these have been renmoved, this i cannot understand why

I was under the impression and correct me if I am wrong that this forum is to assist people looking for various wholesalers, my posts gave genuine truseted information and the site I gave was not one of mine

Sorry to have to post this here but I don't know what I am doing wrong, I have sent a reply to one of the admins before but got no response

Thanks for reading

Dave

Hi Dave, advertising of any kind is strictly prohibited unless you are a paid member. Im sure the mods must have seen your posts as advertising, even if you were advertising someone else.

Dave, everyone is leery of new posters who begin by suggesting sources. Even where there is no intent to profit, often that is the intent, so all newby posts mentioning a source are suspect.

As a seasoned forum visitor and a mod on several forums myself, I can tell you that 80% of the time their gut reaction is probably right.

Stick around, get a little cred and everything will be cool.

There are certain unwritten guidelines here. That is what makes this a great place personally. I don't read any other forums as 1) i'm not a geek and 2) i dont have the time. I enjoy helping others out on issues but i will never freely hand over suppliers. Although I have in the past via pm.

Dear Dave,

I believe a few of our members have highlighted the reasons for your posts removal. I see that you were issued an infraction (by myself in fact) for a violation of our user agreement. I have just reviewed why you were issued the infraction and you were offering goods you had in stock to members of this forum, as you are now aware this is against our policy as all members who wish to tender goods/services must be registered advertisers.

I hope that clears this matter up, if it doesn't feel free to contact me anytime via either email or PM where I will be happy to assist.

Please also read our forum rules again (if you haven't already) to ensure this doesn't happen again.

We are a friendly bunch really!

Many thanks,

Anthony.
