[quote=WasMack]As i said earlier in the thread i would make an extended post on this topic:

The advantages of this section:
1.The chance for younger people starting business to meet and chat.
2.The chance for younger people to network (new friends)
3.A place to talk about a topic we would usually talk about in the main forum eg computer games

the only problem was the mod part until you explained im sure anthony will let us know soon.
well im off bed

yh, but i think that it would be good to introduce under 21 mods, i can see the risks already, but it could work, just an idea remember!

Would have to agree here, the main focus could be lost, and its not what we want, as for the section for age ranges then rather than dedicating a forum to the young guns then maybe a sub section for the off topic, such as everything else! The forum is to talk business and wholesale, there are plenty of forums around that talk just games etc, there is also a huge forum that young guns use where everything is talked about(non-business)

Hi,
I think this is a great idea. As Matt said, young people can meet and talk business with each other. And I like the idea about no MOQ or even a small MOQ of 5 or something. I would suggest the following sections:

General Young Business Talk - Now this must be about business and nothing else.
Young Selling - You can talk about how you started selling and how can you help other young sellers.
Small Wholesale and Retail - This section can be for small Wholesale offerings and we can sell products at Retail price, (think about it, there will be more profit for the forum, because more people would be signing to selling on the forum )

And for anything else which is Off Topic that can be posted in the Off Topic section, which is already here.

And my thoughts on the Under 21 Mods.

Well choosing the right people is critical. As Matt suggested, we should pick people who have made a lot of useful posts, who respect other people, offer very good contributions ect.

Overall I like this idea and Anthony I think you should go with this idea, its very good. And sorry for the massive post lol.

Hope this helps.

I'm still not conviced it is the way forward for this forum, we have to think of the long term goals for the forum!

I understand that young guns want some where to chat! but there are other forums that you can do this. As for the above post then there are forums on here already that can be used for 'small wholesale offerings', dont forget we have forum reg sellers on here that can offer smaller qty's or if you want to buy higher MOQ's then you can club together to achieve this, albeit I dont think Anthony will be held to ransom if things go wrong when clubing your money together.

Going back to the point of forum reg sellers, to maintain the long term goals of the forum then we have to encourage selling in the open forum and make the sellers account even more appealing and even more value for money than it already is. As mentioned before then having separate sections for age groups will segregate the forum and it will lose it's drive forward and become stuck from investment in terms of advertising and sellers accounts. So again a sub-forum maybe the way for other things such as 'what game you playing?' but not its own section.

As for a MOD that should help run the section, then my opinion is that there are alot of regular members who contribute alot and have done for some time(if not longer than most) who would maybe not make as much of a contribution if it is felt that there contributions are being over looked. Im not saying they contribute for something in return as most do it to help newbies and veterans.

Remember that this forum and many others regarding business, are communities for help in business and light hearted talk(fun or not), they are not a chat room!

Rant over!
Dave
