Default FS section: Letting people know if a deal is brokered or not

Hey guys,

I think it might be beneficial for prospective buyers if For Sale offers would have to include information on if the offers and deals are brokered, ordered upon request or if the seller actually owns the stock.

It seems that less and less sellers are actually stocking the goods they offer, but instead use the buyers money to order the stock and pay for it. I think this can be risky and cause problems (not always, but it can easily happen).

Therefore I think it would only be fair that sellers, as a rule, will have to say if they actually own the stock, or if they will order it once they receive the funds from the buyer. We have a great community here, and we pride ourselves in watching out for one another when it comes to scammers or risky offers, and I think this would be very beneficial for the trust between buyers and sellers.

There are alot of scammers out there, and a lot of products are fake. In my opinion, this risk should not be handed over to the buyer, but this is a risk that we sellers need to take into calculation. If goods are not delivered to the original seller for any reason, why should the buyer have to wait to get his money back? Us sellers are responsible for what we offer, and we are responsible for our clients money. And I believe that this money should only be taken if we are 100% sure that we can fulfill the order. But the only way to be a 100% is when I can see the items with my own two eyes, meaning I have them in stock.

This is just my personal opinion, maybe others will see it differently. I am looking forward to get some input on this from you all.

Regards,

Jojo

Personally I agree..unfortunately it may be very hard to ensure 100% compliance unless Anthony has some ideas..

Thanks for the input. I think it could just be a rule, and if sellers don´t complie with it, their posts/offers will be edited by the mods (if that is possible).

I'd have to agree also, as we need to also protect buyers as well as sellers on here.

Yes MODs can edit the for sale section.

Under a new ruling, this issue is addressed.

The release of the new rule(s) will be sometime in the next few weeks.

I won't devulge too much, but I can confirm we will be addressing the "brokering" and "physical" stocking issues..
