Default Move the Introduce Yourself Section

I was thinking that if this was placed at the very top of the forum above starting a business etc... then people would post more in there and may go into further detail about themselves as this is the first thing they will see and prob have more to say before posting a load of questions and yet nobody knows who they are etc...?

Just a thought

That sounds like a really good idea. Personally, I would go even further and have people introduce themselves first, and only after that they are allowed to post in the other sections (if this is technically possible).

With this, we would get rid of people signing up just to post some scam offers, which will be deleted anyway. And any legitime member should not mind posting a few lines about themselves. This way, we all get to know each other better, and probably can help each other better. Just an idea.

But I do agree with YNWA about moving the section to top. Like in real life, you normally say hi first, and then ask the question, and not the other way around.

It makes no odds if its at the top middle or bottom of the board , if someone doesn't want to introduce themselves then they won't , so i carn't see it making that much of a difference, new members mange to introduce themselves ok.

i have to disagree as if i seen the first section was new memeber then i wud go there first, also it would give people an extra incentive to say hi and also stop people coming on and typing stuff like any suppliers for ipods? then gettin off. Then you know your audience before u communicate etc....

Jus the way i feel, better to say hi first then post, than to post and not say hi at all!
