Just out of curiousity, could someone explain to me what the point is for having a "referrer of the month"?

Are we looking for quantity or rather quality? Personally, I believe there is no point in having another few hundred members, if they don´t
contribute to the forum accordingly. And I (personally) don´t see why anyone would want this title. Is it to have just another title to pin on
the chest?
