There are still plenty of r4 cards in the country but if word gets around that they have stopped making the r4 then the price will rocket as these cards are the best on the market

I wouldnt go as far as to say these are the best on the market, because there not, they are damn fine cards though

Updates for the R4 lately have been practically none exsistant

Max file size of sd card is just 2gb

The DSTT cards are up there with the best, along with Cyclo DS and Acekard,

Im not knocking the R4 in any way, and ive personally bought from the guy whos thread it is on a couple of occasions, and hopefully will be again in the future if he gets more in

R4 are far from the best on the market. they're lack of SDHC support is woeful.

The two best cards are easily the Edge and the CycloDS. Although you pay for the privelige. SDHC support, great reliability, an excellent GUI and regular firmware updates.

The R4 is good for reliability but its a very old product now and it shows.

The R4 is now available with full SDHC compatibity up to 32GB, these are not made by the original factory but they are made by the same people.
I have sold a number of these now for a couple of months and they are just as good.
unreliable french babies those.
Im suprised that you say they are unreliable as I have sold over 500 pieces and not had one return or complain, actually they are made in Hong Kong not france http://www.r4sdhc.com may be the ones you are referring to are french clones (which this is the first i have heard of) I have had no issues at all in supplying these to my customers.
