Hello,

Can I ask if this a website you have helped develop? It looks like you might just be posting as part of an afilliation program...

Hi,

I've have not been invlolved in the development of the Touch brand of sites. They have recently started an affiliate program and thought that it would work well with the domain UKAdvertiser.com.

Posted it here as I thought that people might like another bit of FREE advertising.

Don't get me wrong, free advertising is good advertising. Just was unsure of your involvement.

No, will do though. Have got my website up and running, but there is still loads I want to do to it first before I really advertise it - have just been really busy on a personal note to finish it off.

Saying that I am told that it can take google etc. around 7 months to index your site, so have been contemplating submitting it as it stands thus far.

Off Thread.... Indexing can take 2 days if linked from a spidered web page, positioning in the SERP's is what takes the time. What this means is that you will be found if you search for your website by name but not if you use a search term (keyword)..

On thread.... Get it linked to NOW, even if you put up information as a sub page and do not link to your main pages until it is ready at least the engines will be geared for you and you may even get some readers bookmark your site. read my Content is King article from that page for what I usually recommend. Therefore, use the FREE advertising offer as it can do nothing but good for you (as long as you have a brick and mortar shop)

Thanks for the link WS....

Ok thanks for the advice. I think I'll see how much I can get done this week and submit it Friday.

Here it is by the way: www.nextgen-supplier.com

If you have any other advice, it will be very well received. I have gained a lot of information from the forums and in a way you have given me a lot of advice that has been very useful without knowing it.

As I say there are a lot of modifications to be made and content to be added, still unsure of having the flash title (worries with download times). Huge amount of products still to be added, I know there is a way of uploading a spreadsheet of data via mysql/phpadmin - but haven't had time to look into it.

Thanks

Good stuff thanks.

It does ring a bell actually, reckon I came across it a while ago when I had even less of a clue than I do now.

Am integrating the contribs in between work now. Should be well worth it.

Thanks,

Krisja.
