Just curious, are you VAT registered?

Hi PT,

The company I work for is VAT registered so no way we can work around not charging VAT unfortunately.

Thats why we offer no charge for card usage and have excellent discounts available.

Tis a cross to bear but one we must!

I was not looking to "work around VAT", nor did I imply that. Are you aware if you are not VAT registered, it is an offence to give prices excluding VAT? If YOUR company is not VAT registered, I suggest you adjust your prices. For your own sake.

PT there is no need to give a somewhat 'hot headed' reply, I was merely stating that as we are VAT registered it is an offence not to charge VAT.

By stating that we cannot work around it and that is a cross to bear states it was a joke (at our esteemed establishment )and by no means was mean't to be a slight on you or in fact suggesting anything illegal!

Please see http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk/60...5e/compdetails

for details on companies house on us.

Hope this clears up any confusion.

All the best

Ben

Ben, I was simply asking whether or not your company was VAT registered, that's all. Your response was some what confusing. So I gave you some advice regarding your pricing. A lot of people make the mistake of displaying prices excluding VAT, when they are not VAT registered. Eventually causing them problems. Really, I was just looking out for you.
