Selling Rules - Please read before posting!
Registered Sellers and Members of the community should familiarise themselves with the following rules that we have in place with regard to selling on the forum.
1. Forum Registered Sellers are allowed to post up to FOUR new sale leads/threads in a 24hr period. They should NOT however be the same offering "day after day"!
2. Forum Registered Sellers should ONLY add to their thread if they have relevant information to add and shouldn't post to just "bump" the sale.
3. If sellers need to edit their original thread then they can do so as long as they use the "Edit" button and put a "Reason" for doing it. If sellers don't put a reason down then people won't know why the thread was edited (which sometimes causes confusion). We are quite happy for sellers to outline changes in a different colour (red) if they have made changes.
4. A structured layout to a Forum Registered Sellers selling lead/thread is now compulsory.
Mandatory Details are as follows:
- Stock Status:
Whether the stock you are selling is physical or you are brokering it from another company you MUST state this within the thread. Buyers have the right to know whether the stock you are selling is in your physical possession or you are selling it on somebody else's behalf.
- Quantity Available:
The quantity figure MUST always be present. Whether you are selling 5 or 100, please ensure you tell buyers what quantity is available.
- Physical Location of the Stock:
Again, whether you are selling the stock yourself or brokering, please ensure you put a location to the stock you are selling. A country is sufficient although it would be appreciated if you could be as specific as possible.
- Buyers Liability
You MUST state in the for-sale thread what buyers are liable for if they buy from you. If the stock is in a specific country and VAT or Taxes will need to be paid you will need to state this within the thread.
A general rule of thumb is to be as specific as possible when selling stock, this limits the amount of questions you will get and lower the chances of buyers being confused and leading to bad transactions.
Please be aware that sellers not including the mandatory fields in their for-sale thread will have their threads closed until it has been edited and all mandatory items are in place. We are telling you this now so that you don't wonder why your thread has been locked.
5. Sellers should NOT make remarks about the pricing or service offered by other sellers, ANYWHERE on the forum. Please keep comments at a constructive level at all times!
* Rule 5 goes for everyone on the forum, we will not accept "bashing" of people's for-sale threads, so please keep it constructive!
6. Forum Registered Sellers should post or inform a Moderator that their stock is sold so that the relevant thread can be closed/locked.
7. Forum Registered Sellers should ALWAYS use the Traders Rating section to rate buyers. Buyers should also do the same for the sellers at the end of the transaction.
8. Showing your Location (with Country being the bear minimum) is a requirement for all Forum Registered Sellers. You MUST have this shown in your profile at all times.
9. The sale of suppliers and specifically "wholesale lists" is NOT permitted. Any threads advertising the sale of supplier details will be removed and the seller will receive a formal warning for this rule breach.
10. Finally, if your account is suspended (for any reason) then you are NOT entitled to a refund of any sort (of your selling membership).
Thanks
