Do you mean my favorite places? SEG Electronics Market in Shenzhen you can make ANY electronic equipment from part found there I'm like a kiddo in a candy store. I like Huabo too (love it in fact)

My wife prefers Fenghuanggang or Bao’an District... women!

There are very few places I dislike, may be the ones just created for foreigner. I went one last year the cost were as expensive as at the Mall of America!

I have been to China and Hong Kong twice this year so far and i love the place canton fair is a good place if your looking for inspiration but some times difficult to deal with some company’s as they have specific UK distributors already. also try having a look on global sources also for other china sourcing fairs. another place worth visiting just for the experience is Shenzhen Lo Wu Shopping Mall just over the border for a true del boy experience. and always remember to ask for AA quality and best price as they tend to see tourists and add 100000% markup on things

I have told this story before but feel its apropriate for this thread.
My first trip to china (after doing tuns of home work) was an eye opening exspiriance, I had 4 meetings set up as i was only there for 3 days and the first wholesaller I met was one of the nicest guys Ive ever met, he new his stuff and his factory was huge. I had almost already sold myself on this guy, anyway my second meet turnd up,again nice guy had had the gift of the gab but I had in my mind I already decidided to go with the first guy when out came the photo of his factory!it was the same as the first guy's!!! and beleave it or not the same as the third! I now deal with the fourth guy I met and do great business with them. You really do have to be carefull out there as its the same as here, people will take your money for nothing if you are willing to give it!

This is a regular occurance in China. Most trading companies in each sector buy from the same factories and when they inturn sell they portray themselves as the factory. The majority are not trying to scam anyone, just impress their potential buyers.

Hey guys! Would be planning my next trip to China pretty soon probably around the December period to take a look at their market.

Any advise on places like shopping centers that i could visit for wholesale prices? I've read the entire thread and penned down a couple of them but im sure there's more? Hmm..

You do the necessary checks before hand as with any supplier. You can normally tell what kind of supplier they are i.e. factory, trader or scammer just by their emails, location/address etc.

Unfortunately as with most things it is not easy and takes years of experience to tell who you are dealing with. Also getting off a plane and going to someone's address in China is not recommended until you have done any kind of checks.
