Sounds about right, and the 4GB doesnt cost much more, i'd say about $10 judging by my suppliers prices. You have to remember as well that Apple will be getting all the components in huge bulk orders, so costs on their part should be cheap.

Hi All
This is my first post but have been looking at this forum for a while, i also have a question about the Ipod Nanos. I think some of you know about the wholesaler from Middlesex mentioned on a post a few weeks back. I have been in touch with them and he has given me these prices for 4GB nanos and Psps. I just want to know if these seem to good be true?, the company checks out on the companies house etc. The problem i have is he now wants payment in advance and delivery is within 7 days. These prices include Shipping and Insurance
$135 usd for 1000 units of the 4gb nanos.
$143 usd for 500 units of the 4gb nanos
$153 usd for 200 units of the 4gb nanos
$163 usd for 100 units of the 4gb nanos
$168 usd for 50 units of the 4gb nanos
Below are prices for the Jap, Us and Asian versions of the Sony PSP
$200 usd for 50 units
$190 usd for 100 units
$177 usd for 150 units
$170 usd for 200 units
$166 usd for 300 units
$153 usd for 500 units
30gb video ipods
$270 usd for 50 units of the 30gb video ipods
$260 usd for 100 units of the 30gb video ipods
$255 usd for 200 units of the 30gb video ipods
$250 usd for 300 units of the 30gb video ipods
$247 usd for 500 units of the 30gb video ipods
60gb video ipods
$371 usd for 50 units of the 60gb video ipods
$360 usd for 100 units of the 60gb video ipods
$353 usd for 200 units of the 60gb video ipods
$349 usd for 300 units of the 60gb video ipods
$343 usd for 500 units of the 60gb video ipods
Im pretty keen to order some PSP's and Nanos but don't feel very comfortable handing over payment without seeing any goods. Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks

Prices look realistic to me, and iif he accepts secure payment methods.. then i reckon you should give it a go. If you can go see him i'd do that though

Thanks for the replies, he says i can go and visit their office sometime this week. However when you say secure payments what do you mean? If i pay say £5k on a credit card i will be protected against fraud? I'm just trying to weigh up whether it is safe to pay upfront for the whole lot.

If he says that you can go and visit him at the office then why not try and do Cash and Collect?
If not then secure payments would be; escrow, paypal ect..
Cash and Collect would be my option though..

Yeah cash on collection is my preferred method but he says that all orders need to be payed for in advance! The cash on collection thing was only for initial orders and to try and get a customer base apparantly.
I will try and come to some sort of arrangment i think, will post back to let you know what goes on!
