Afternoon guys.

Im after a little help.
I am wanting to start dropshipping for the time being, and then move on to wholesale, hopefully.
The problem after recently being scammed out of £300 and being a student, I need some good dropshippers to start. Everyone needs to start somewhere eh ?
Im particularly interested in dropshipping items like Playstation 3s, Nintendo Wiis, Apple iPhones, iPods, and maybe other electrical items.
I would like to make a bit of profit on items, I've looked through alot of wholesalers / dropshippers websites and the prices are higher than what the items go for on ebay.
I would appreciate any websites / companies you can direct me to that would allow a bit of profit to make.

Cheers.

Hi Jason,

I don't think you'll get direct answer to your question,
especially in such a competetive market as ipods, PS3 etc.

My recommendation - find more profitable niche :-)

Anything but ipods, ps3, iphones etc.

Many people are excited about demand in these
product groups, but they do not realize how
difficult is to get those items for cheap enough,
to make profit on eBay.

No-one will tell you which niche to work around,
do some research, find a product with high
profit margins.

Hi
The best way to get your foot in the door is meet the distributors. I got my contacts for DVDS, Music etc at a trade fair. Also the main suppliers will require your company details and do not want Ebay sellers as customers. One company we approached last week requested company registration documents, confirmation of premise or fully functional online store not one even under construction.
As someone else said no-one will give you a direct answer or would be suprised if you got a direct lead to a Console Distributor as the market is very tough and at the end of the day who wants another competitor. Don't mean to sound harsh there but looking through this forum I have found it informative regarding the do's and don'ts of trading which is definitely very useful.

Hi Jason im new to the game myself, but what i have learnt so far is that Ipods, ps3's, wii's etc are to competative for a smaller guy like us. You have to remember that most big electronics shops are buying these in mahusive quantaties giving them the ability to sell them at a very low price.

My advice to you is sell products that are cheap and seem not as popular as they seem yet serve a purpose and have a specific market to sell to.

Dont go into markets that are so popular that your chances of making profit is low.

hope this helps, and watch them scammers i nearly lost money also but do all your homework you can before sending any money.

Thanks guys. Bought a small lot off them for a £100 (a weak moment!) the other day do you think there is any chance of a refund through Paypal?
