Wholesale to the public
Hi, what you have to understand here is the business has changed with the internet in play. Everyone is in business online these days in some manner. Maybe they sell a little on ebay or maybe they are bigger dealers and sellers. If the wholesalers did not sell to the small guy who can only buy a few pieces to resell how would they get started? I don't have a minimum order requirement and offer my customers the best prices that we can. If a customer says hey I want a better deal, then if possible, we give them the discount. Usually it is becasue they are buying large quantities. There are many factors when deciding who to buy from. Price, service, reliability and trust. Always consider these 4 things when making your decision. Sometimes its better dealing with smaller wholesalers like me who can give you the service you need and ship to the UK as well. I have also described my company as a WHOLE-TAILER. Selling both retail and wholesale depending on who visits the website. We sell to everyone from ebayers, auction sellers, retail shops, online retailers and large giant retailers in the USA. Dont get upset, embrace it and partner with us. There is plenty of profit out there for everyone. Thank you. Eli

Of course, it's a free market and everyone can do what they want - no offense here :-)

they all call themselves wholesalers however...
in china for example there are three level's of trading.
3) trading company
2) market (as in stalls etc)
1) manufacturer
price decreasing down the list
manufacturers usually do not deal with internation traders online, and obviously only sell in massive amounts. the trading companies are the people that we mostly deal with. they still need to make their money.
only way to be confideent your dealing wqith the wholesaler is by going to china yourself

For me I would never dream of selling to the GP at wholesale price either, actually I'm one of those people who's sales went up when I raised my prices! I have not began selling wholesale yet, but I plan on giving a 50% discount (which leaves me a good profit margin still) on the small orders, and then a bigger discount for large orders. I wouldn't like to undercut the people I'm selling to because ultimatley I want them to sell, and come to me for more, wholesale is the long term goal.

What is it exactly do you sell. I might be interested in a "wholesale" account - Iam looking for US suppliers. Please PM with details.
