I guess I would echo much of what has been said already. Sure there are ways to use your money to invest and make a profit, albeit maybe a small one, but I think you are looking for a quick turnaround, before your return to studies start, Hmmm, good luck! In my experience, and granted it is not wide, I have found that the groundwork and the digging around is what takes the time, and is of course the most valuable to a trader at the end of the day, hence why folks keep their cards close to their chests. I suppose their are options open to you, some people suggest dropshipping, which in truth is usually pursued with those with less capital in the first place, I did try that for about a year with a popular product, and a web site, google ads the lot, and every man and his dog in the street were doing the same thing!! So on the likes of e bay many were scrabbling around for a sale. Who wins, well the dropshipper of course, he / she doesn't have to pay the advertising and listing fees, E- Bay win of course, always do, I ran up a big bill for fees with e bay at that time, and made little profit for a lot of input. Although I concede there are possibly decent dropshipping products around, but you would need to be in their early in the products life. Which is sort of connected when I say you might want to find something that has a USP, (unique selling proposition) if you want to attract sales, and you will need to stand out from the crowd in your presentation if you are going to sell online as you plan efficiently. Which again takes time. But be careful, or you'll end up with less than you have. The old adage "How do you make a small fortune? Start with a big one!" is perhaps apt in this sense.
There is a less troublesome way you could pursue in the short time you have to make your cash earn, and that is to look for unique or saleable items available in Local Auction houses. Quite often liquidation stock turns up, or old stocks, etc. Of course you will need to research the market place before you run off to bid for your selected products, But at least you will get them in your hands straightaway, bang 'em onto the sites you choose and hope to sell them within a week or so. But I am not telling you it is sure fire, just a suggestion. As others have said read and read and read, this site and others before you part with your cash. OK
