Default Newbie to Wholesale - What do you think of my plan?

I'm new to wholesaling. I'm not looking for anything specific. My plan is to buy on wholesale and sell on either Amazon or Ebay. I'm a college student, but I'm willing to invest up to $2500. How much money can I make before going back to school? Any suggestions in where to go to purchase from wholesalers? I've have looked all over the web, but I am very skeptical of getting scammed. I have yet to get scammed online, because I'm extremely protective about it. I don't need to make more money than anybody else and I realize nobody will want to give out their favorite sites, but does anybody have any suggestions for me to get started? I was thinking buying polos because they are pretty popular online, but I'm open to anything. I don't have any expectations for profits, but the more the better.

I really don't want more than 100 items. I can probably go up to $3000 actually. I'm from the US.

No one is going to give away their supplies of profitable items. But this forum, if you spend a few days reading, will give you better information. have a look around.

There aren't enough US members on here - hopefully you will get a few pointers from those that are who can maybe sort you out with domestic suppliers?

Although nobody likes giving away their best suppliers, you WILL learn a lot from this forum and possibly find some of your own that noone else here has yet discovered.

Hi, some advice dude, no one is going to give you there top notch information on here BUT they will lead you in the right way.
You have to research yourself, its kind of like a puzzle, everything you need can be found here but its up to you to put the pieces together and profit from the result.

I was completley new here a month or so ago, but i have researched, spent days looking for wholesalers, rang a few, emailed loads! and am finally getting somewhere. I also decided to buy and sell polo shirts. I got some fred perry (dont know if you know the make due to you coming from the USA but its kinda like your ralph lauren over here) and i picked them up for less than 25%RRP. Remember timing is very important, there wont be as big demand for certain items at diffrent times of year but polos at the moment will sell well due to people going on holiday etc.

The info is out there just keep looking, google searches, phone books etc.

best of luck

if you buy wholesale and sell to the public you are a retailer not a wholesaler.... if you buy direct from a manufacturer and sell to the public you are a retailer... as for people giving away their trade leads... you got more chance getting money from C&E...... but good luck
