To all those selling JAP version PSP's in the UK
I have a friend who has just come out of court with a £1400 fine for selling JAP version Sony PSP's on his website.
I dont think he has to pay it though due to him being under 18 (lucky escape).
Does anybody know the laws behind this? Im sure it would be relevant for alot of us.
Thanks
Dan

Surely your friend must know why he was brought to court? For conflicting in which law? He would have been told..

Interesting reading I must say..
Do you reckon this is still the case though? PSP's have been released for a little while now, so wouldn't sony's state of mind have changed by now?
Thanks for the links btw, good stuff..

I would say nothing is gonna hurt Sony's market more than stopping the grey imports at the moment.
No-one can get hold of UK spec PSP's for love nor money, so I doubt Sony are gonna stop you importing Jap spec ones now.
Having said that, I have heard something similar, but it's not going to stop me. I don't think Sony's all that bothered anymore. Maybe after Christmas they'll take up the issue again, but right now they could charge double for them and still sell out in a couple of days.
