Is there anything wrong with this method...
I work at major store and I get 10% staff discount. Is there anything wrong with me using my store as a kind of drop shipper.
I could sell something on ebay for the same price as my store.... once somebody buys, go to work buy the item, get 10% knocked off --- which is my profit.

Well that means you would be sending the goods out doesn't it? Therefore they're not dropshipping as such and therefore I don't see that as a problem. It's just like going to the pound shop then selling something for £2 on Ebay :-)

There is probably nothing wrong with it, but you might want to look at the policies of the company.
If you are under contract with that company there might be a term that says "You should not sell company products to make profit for yourself" or similar..
If you get found breaking that term you could be liable to "breach of contract" and face losing your job.
Worst case scenario's of course, but something you should think about before going ahead with it.

VERY TRUE!!
The company I work for gives us everything at cost price + VAT, and it clearly states in my contract that you can not sell the items on at profit (or something like that). Which is a shame as I could under cut most items on eBay, such as clothes, electricals etc..

10% is absolutely nothing if its clothes and small purchases, youll end up selling at cost to yourself as youll pay for postage on ebay.
i have up to 35% on own store bought items at work, even at this discount rate i wouldnt resell on ebay. at the store where i work at, the items are still more expensive that than local shops just because of the store its in, Selfridges.

It would make sense you won't be able to sell to other ppl with the discount because the discount was probadly intended for the employees first of all. However the discount is just for anybody, then you can probadly use to it sell to others?
