Hi everyone,
First of all, I can't say enough how greaful I am to have found this forum! Thank you
I'm very new to this entire industry and I've become an avid reader of this forum recently
Our company is launching in 06 and we'd like to start buying from suppliers very shortly (as soon as we finish setting up our corporation), probably in January.
I started looking for sellers through Alibaba and was immediatly swarmed by the xbox, ipod, and psp scammers. Even so, I've managed to speak with some seemingly legit electronics brokers who have reasonable prices but I don't know how to be sure that they are going to rip us off.
What is the best way to determine if a broker/supplier is legitimate? What kinds of questions should I ask? What proof should I expect?
So far I've been requiring Escrow payment and a couple brokers have said this is fine, but I'm still worried (because of all of the bad Alibaba publicity I'm no longer seaking suppliers through their site). Is Escrow fool proof, and is there any way I can be scammed even if we pay through Escrow.com?
Sorry for the compound question, and thanks in advance! =)
