Default How do you go about persevering when you aint doing too well?

Thought I'd start a new thread regarding this as I'm sure many newbies, myself included have felt like this. I imported some stock from the States, a small order at that. It was a product I thought would do brilliantly - even though its season specific. Retail price from the UK manufacturer - £200, my costs after importing - £45.

I listed it on eBay a few days back and it's due to end around 8pm. It's currently at £26, with 9 watchers. I can't help but to feel disappointed not due to the fact that I may lose money, I shouldn’t do at worst I'd perhaps break even.

What I am disappointed about though, is my confidence that’s importing stock from America can be profitable. I would honestly say this would perhaps be one of the most profitable items I'd find for at least a while.. but it looks like I'll have to keep searching....

You win some, loose others. It's the way it goes, no matter how experienced you are.

As long as you don't loose that confidence, you'll find others and hopefully come across some winners!

I've moved this thread to General Wholesale Discussion.

Lol @ 245+ If it sold for around a hundred quid, I’d be ecstatic, I’d offer second chance offers and get rid of all the 10 pieces I have.

Why you didn't list them as BIN's?

Hope you do well, it is the name of the game, you live and learn. It's timing aswell for Ebay, i put things on one week it never sold, relisted a week later and it sold. I'm going to do mine for the end of the month, pay time also ending Sunday night, more peeps at home looking. Well that is my theory, pmsl.

good luck.

My thoughts exactly!

You've had bids, that shows people are looking for them and willing to spend money. How much is another question, but I'd definitely go down that route.

Terapeak indicated this was a slow seller. There is another seller whos trying to shift these using BIN, but he wants £140 + delivery.

Anyways Terapeak showed that the used items would go for around 90 quid. Suppose I could have listed for £90 + delivery, but I guess I wanted to get rid of this in one go in the form of second chance offers.
