Hi,

I am wanting to start trading on line (ebay) and also sell things locally to where I live. I have just discovered this web-site and feel that it is very usefull, but still don't know what to buy and sell.

1.) Can anyone reccomend any good things to start selling? (I was thinking cosmetics, mp3 players, cloathes, games etc.)

2.) How much does it cost in charges to sell something on ebay and through paypal?

3.) What is Alibaba is it reliable?

If anyone has any good products that I could possibly buy, or can reccomend any good resources, I would be very gratefull. Any help would be great!

Regards,

Gareth.

Hiya Gareth. If you go to Ebay pulse and have a look and see what sells in different areas, anything will sell, but it depends how in demand it is and how much competition you have.
Ebay and paypal prices vary and you also have FVF (final value fees).
Check out the forum, read the old posts. You won't find something over night, I think it's best to know what you want to sell then work on getting good suppliers from there.
Do research before you jump into things and keep trying. Trial and error are a big factor in the beginning. Good luck

Hi Gareth

If your interested in MP3 and Mp4 players go to www.dropthegoods.com

Our players are £1.00 above Bondandco's prices but we offer UK charger and Silicon Case that is not included in the above so take that into account. We also have other players available.

We will either dropship or sell wholesale for you - dropshipping means you sell a product and once sold you purchase from our site and we ship the item to your customer Easy way to make money

THanks

Tom

Hello Gareth and welcome to The Wholesale Forums!

I'd be happy to try and answer your questions.

1). If you're just beginning, I'd try and sell things you feel comfortable selling (e.g if you love music and gadgets sell MP3 players.) There are plenty of sellers on the forum who sell great products at great prices.

2). eBay and PayPal fees depend on the price you're selling your goods. This eBay and Paypal fees calculator is great. http://ecal.altervista.org/en/fee_ca...or/ebay.co.uk/

3). Alibaba is a B2B (Business-2-Business) site where suppliers and buyers can find each other and buy and sell goods. It's basically an online market! GlobalSources.com is a another great B2B site.

If you have any more questions, I'd be happy to help.

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks to everyone for their help and advise. I will keep researching before I make a decision, but I feel that the products I have seen offered so far would be better to sell privatley rather than on 'Ebay' as everyone seems to be on to this.

Ideally I think I would like to sell mens fragrances and cosmetics, if anyone has any good links for these?

Please keep any reply coming.

Regards,

Gareth.
