Ok so I sold this guy a phone on ebay and never got paid. It was a scam through PayPal, and a very good one. I never got my money and now I sends me this email:

Dear Theodore English Bonote ,
> i am so sorry about the payment with paypal,my paypal account has been hacked, so i have there for canceled the payment with paypal,and i intend paying you through my client in Geneva Switzerland, i will instruct him to mail out a check of 1200 Euro to you which is the amount he owes me,he's curently out of town and western union money transfer can not be sent out of where he is now, you will pay the check into your account once you recieve it , once it clears i would like you to take ur total money from the check and send back the balance to my daughter for her school fee's, i will send u the tracking number for the check once it has been mailed out , and please promise me u would send back the balance of the money to my daughter once you recive the check, and also get back to me with ur contact address including ur phone number so i can arrange for the check to be mailed out,

Ok so I guess that this a scam and I have troubles understand how it works and what I schould do.

Even once a check has cleared wit can bounce up to 30 days later still, so the deal is that you send the money to them thinking the cheque has cleared then it bounces and you are left with less money!

I would just ignore him. It's a 100% scam most likely originating from Nigeria.

Report it to Paypal. He got you once, don't let him get you again.
