Default Is there money to make with World Cup 2010?

Hey

This is my first wholesale discussion topic and i'd like to discuss about a question I was wondering about yesterday night:

Is there money to make with the next Football Worldcup in South Africa next summer?

I mean, people like goodies and derivatives, would it be worth buying at cheap prices NOW and sell them during the big buzz (1 month before world cup, when the high peak of attention) ?

Do you think that would be a good idea or, otherwise, people wouldn't pay attention to official WC2010 lighters, foot ball, key rings,... ?

Of course, I'm talking about OFFICIAL merchandising because I'm sure the FIFA will chase the frauders

ps: excuse my french if I did mistakes

Plenty of money to make with the world cup as long as they finish the stadium on time

However I'm not sure if you'd want to buy all the merchandise now unless you can get it extremely cheaply, are able to store it for a considerable amount of time and it won't go out of 'fashion'.

If you can pick the right products at the right time you'll make a killing for sure as the world cup is one of the world's biggest events and merchandising generates millions during that period of time.

Just gotta wait for England to win the world cup now to sell off all my old stock
probably take a few more world cups though....

There is plenty of money to be made and not precisely with the offficial merchandise. To think outside the box, you have to be outside the box.

Whenever people agree with me I always feel I must be wrong.

Over the weekend i came into contact with two curious business ideas.

1) Selling pure oxygen, in "mouse type tins", yes, the kind of mouse one uses to style the hair.

2) A text messaging service that tells an individual were police controls are taking place. (based on postal codes). Yes, at this moment in time totally legal.

The second idea, is becoming very useful for those that enjoy the nightlife on a weekend, and is being used in abundance.

Both ideas i thought are very curious.

Another dillusional fan lol,

He has played one good game you cannot rate a player without observing hes performances over a long period of time. He will get all the hype and probably do nothing like most do.

Back to the thread,

World cup, like the olympics opens a new market where buyers will pay to feel part of the atmosphere (ie, flags, shirts etc)

Also accomadation is another avenue, aswell as tickets.

Their is plenty of money to be made, you just have to be at the right place, with the right product with a good enougth margin to make a profit.

Oh the jealousy! I've seen him play in every first team appearance he's made. I saw him feature in the pre-season campaign this season and last season. In addition to all that I've seen him play in the youth and reserve games. I've seen enough of him to think he is a great talent. Maybe not the saviour of England as it takes more than one player to do that, but he is the best U-21 English talent.
