Re: What Do You Prefer ?
So am I the only one who does go by price? Obviously condition of the item if used will come into it, but if its a name game or something, then lowest price wins. I dont have time to spend ages making a decision by various rules when purchasing, and Ive never used the best match thing as I like to see whats ending soonest!!
The only thing I would say is I prefer photos of actual stock rather than a stock photo - this way I know the seller actually has the item (good if they have low feedback), and second can assess the basic condition and which version (ie platinum, region 1/2 etc) the item is.

Re: What Do You Prefer, cheapest or best service?
I Look for the cheapest. Then from the cheapest I check feedback. If its reasonable then I will buy.

Re: What Do You Prefer, cheapest or best service?
I look at mid range priced items, the cheapest is dont use nor the most expensive, then highest feeback, then presentation grammer/spelling, detail on product etc.

Unless it's a seller I know/have used before then definitely not cheapest first - I believe in the old adage, you get what you pay for.

Re: What Do You Prefer, cheapest or best service?
For something as simple as a ps3 game i would go with the cheapest, unless something in their feedback etc suggests otherwise.
At the end of the day they only stick it in the post.

Re: What Do You Prefer, cheapest or best service?
It's almost never about price. We sell wholesale to UK retailers. A couple of years ago we moved another step up the ladder and started buying direct from manufacturers in China at dirt cheap prices. When we tried selling at prices that gave us a good profit, we found that a lot of buyers were not interested. We were just too cheap!
So we kept increasing prices, waiting for our customers to tell us we were too expensive. What happened? When our markup reached 500%, we were still slightly cheaper than our competitors, and we were getting more and more customers. It seems that retailers were more comfortable dealing with us when we charged twice what we had to charge. We haven't look back since.
This idea that you get what you pay for is a complete myth.

If you initially only go for sellers with 100% feedback, you must generally only buy from non-business sellers and very small or new business sellers becuase if you sell alot as a business it is virtually impossible not to get atleast 1 negative every so often , therefore 100% is almost impossible.
What im bassically saying is that just because someone has 100% doesn't mean they are a better seller than someone with 99.8% or 99.9%, they probably just sell alot less.
Personally the last thing i bought, i used the new High Rated Seller function in the search optiions and then out of the sellers what were left picked selected those with 1st class postage and then the cheapest out of the bunch, without even looking at the feedbacks again.
In my opinion this new rating seem rather usefull

That is of course unless everone adopts the same tactics, then new sellers who may potentially be every bit as good as, if not better than the current people, some of which may become complecent as they know people will buy off of them anyway, the only time I have ever had no contact after asking about lost items / non arrivals are from powersellers, generally the smaller sellers want to try to do something about it, where as some of the bigger sellers getting thousands of positives a month seem to think what's it matter, cos they can afford a negative or 200, hence ignore it, knowing that 9 times out of 10, ebay / paypal will believe them due to status.
Needless to say I think it is a ridiculous idea!

Re: What Do You Prefer, cheapest or best service?
Lowest price as long as feedback is ok (99%+). The way I see it if the listing quality isnt very good then other people will be put off and the price will be lower. Always pay by paypal so who cares if something goes wrong if the seller doesnt cooperate open a dispute.
Don't buy games but if I did would just go lowest price + P&P, Buy it now only and bobs your uncle.
