So what did you do before you became an Entrepreneur?

Thought It would be a good thread to start off...I'll get the ball rolling

Came out of college and started working at the local music/theatre venues as a sound/lighting tech... did that for 3 years got sick of the long hours so changed to similar career in a music studio as a techie rising up to a producer... same thing got sick of the looooong hours and decided to work for myself... There you go my life story in 5 lines lol

When I left school I used to make pallets. Not the most glamorous of jobs but the owner of the business taught me some very valuable business lessons.

I have also worked in sales and customer service. Also done a bit of corporate training. Even when working I have always had something on the go. Probably because all the jobs I have had have all been low paid jobs lol.

Left College, went through alot of boring Admin jobs.
Then worked as a Prison Officer, crap pay (but very enjoyable) so left there and went into Security @ Hewlett Packard 12 hour days/nights.
Bored of that so went into Technical support, @ Orange and IT support desk at Imperial Tobacco. Both great money. But still something missing....

Then Van driver, loved it, crap hours, good pay. Left there and here i am

Hi,

Worked for American Express for 10 years and got made redundant.. That gave me the kid up the behind to do what i have always wanted to do and be my own boss..

Worked in the music industy as an artist relations director signing bands to endorce musical instruments. Then had own music shop, music school and studios. Sold that to become a full time application developer/web developer but never got out of buying and selling things after the music shop days.

lol Im farrr too young to be answering the question (18, only had 1 job as a part time cleaner - was easy money!) but just wondered how on earth all of you funded your businesses? I have just been fortunate to have had parents that built me savings when I was little, and have worked from that but it would take me years to save enough to turn over a living!

Working 80 hour weeks for 3 months lol
