Trading Websites, What's a good one?
There are sooo many trading websites out there, like Alibaba, ec21, busytrad, exporters.sg, but most of them are just filled with scammers!
Does anyone know a good trading website

I think that due to the nature of these sites there will always be scammers on them sooner or later.
You have to read between the lines, and have to know your market. If that is the case, you will be able to spot the good suppliers, even on the above mentioned site, as there are still some good ones advertising there.
Another site you could try is Zentrada.co.uk, but you will have to pay to join. What exactly are you looking for?

On for instance Alibaba, is it actually possible to find a legit iPod Supplier?

You might find an ipod supplier in Alibaba, but the bigger the site the more scammers you will find.
If you're looking for small qty, your best bet is to go with one of the reputable sellers on the forum. and if you're looking to buy big then you should do your homework before dealing with any supplier on these trading websites.

Don't reject sites like Alibaba straight off, the nature of the product means that there are going to be scammers wherever you go.
Do your research and take extreme caution and you will find a supplier, and never rush into anything take your time to get off the high thinking you've found yourself a great supplier and take a look at things again later.

Untill today I have good experiences with http://www.made-in-china.com, but I have someone in China who does check things for me or that I can use as a middleman (woman in this case) for payments and checking goods. |

On Alibaba, you are going to find most iPod suppliers in China - selling fakes. Next, you will find the scammers just trying to get your money. If there are any legitimate iPod suppliers, you have a lot of sorting to go through.
Gray market iPods are available, however, getting a steady supply is near impossible. If you would like to sell iPods every now and then, you may be able to get some. To make a business out of it is very difficult - no steady supply. |
