Default Importing from china

Hi,

Have finally found a product and supplier from china that I think I can make money on. As this will be my first product that I will be shipping from china I would like your advise on a few things.

1. Can anyone recommend an agent in china that can oversee the shipment loading e.t.c...

2. The goods that I am purchasing carries 110 days warranty from the supplier. As I am selling this product in the U.K. do I need to give my custmoers a minium of 1 years warrenty.

3. Also can anyone recommend a frieght forwarder in the u.k. who can deal with all of the custom issue's at the port.

Any advise on the above will be much appreciated

Hi Dee10uk,

The company I work for www.cotecna.co.uk is an inspection company with offices in China. We would be happy to assist in inspecting goods before or at loading.

Cheers

Mark

Default Inspection Costs - China

It will really depend on the location in China. But to give you a ball part figure of an inspection in one of the larger cities or ports in China you would be looking at around £200.00

Regards

Mark

Default Inspection China

That would be per inspection. Obviously if you needed a number of inspections through the year then the price could be negotiated.

If you are exporting from a factory in Shenzhen or Guangzhou (Pearl River Delta area) and your supplier has no suggested options for freight, then it's a good bet to go with Hong Kong logistics firms because they offer a professional service with good English language support and have experience shipping goods out of China at good rates.
