Hw is everybody
I am in need of some serious advice from an expereicned mobile phones importer

i am new entrepeneur and HAVE DECIDED to start importing refurbised and used mobiles from the US into the UK ,

However i have never come accross the importing barrier ,i am going to import about 170 phones for my 1st batch but needed advice on whether i will be paying a large amont of duty on these mobile phones once they arrrive in the uk as i have no expereicne in this field.

Does any one have an idea of how much and how i will get charged ????

I have told the company that i want delivery to my door, do you think i will avoid customs charges by this .......

Maybe some can give me the cheapest option of importing these phones from the us, who has done it before......

You will pay both VAT and duty when they reach the UK. I do not know what the current duty rate is but budget for an extra 20 to 25% on top (total)

is that 20 to 25% for each phone or for the whole shipment ,,

That's on cost of goods, insurance and shipping costs.

goods are worth about 1000 pounds
