Importing cd's and dvd's through Amazon.com
Hi, first time posting on the board so i apoligize in advance if i make any mistakes, i have one question regarding importing cd's and dvd's from the US through Amazon.com, how much are you allowed to bring into the UK this way, before you are liable for import and/or custom charge's. I appreciate any help.

You have to pay them on anything you import. Plus, if you're thinking of selling them, they are a different region .

You have to pay import/custom charges like ben said. Amazon make you pay more for it though if you do order through them.

Can I ask why you are thinking of importing through Amazon? They are a retailer not a wholesaler, you wouldn't get a brilliant price anyway.

I'm 100% sure when going through the checkout process of Amazon.com, it redirects you to the UK site if you insert a UK address.

As your importing from outside the EU, you will be liable for VAT and import duties (unless the value of your purchase is below £18).
If Amazon do not ship the item(s) you are interested in, there are many other US retailers who will. A quick search on Google will pull up thousands!
