importing food from china?

Hi all,
I currently import a lot of non-perishable/ non-food items into the UK.
I am now looking a importing a type of food into the UK. It would be a sealed, snack type product. Not something that goes off or needs cool temperatures.

Has anyone got any info on importing such items? Such as regulations, extra forms that need to be sent with the items, any licences required? or anything else I should know about?

would be coming from China
