Hi, I want to import baby clothing into the UK which is zero-rated VAT. Do I pay custom duties?
Plus is it worth it importing goods in from the USA. Their prices seem ridiculously low but am I going to pay a fortune in shipping costs?

Customs duties are segmented into a myriad of categories and individual listings..... some major libraries carry the appropriate book which lists all the codes and applicable rates.
Shipping will depend on size or weight... depending on the mode of transport and shipper..... by sea is cheaper but takes longer and is usually by cubic meter..... by air its either size or weight depending on which is the more expensive, but a lot faster.

As xcat said really, depends on your supplier but we ship in box's of parts that weigh approx 5kg for around $80 I think, all depends on if the products you are buying still work out cheap enough when you add on the delivery costs, definitely worth looking into
