Default Likely to be a daft VAT question but......

I was wondering how it actually works. If I was to purchase something off someone on here as I was thinking I might and I paid the VAT in the total price. If I was to sell it onto another seller would i say the price included VAT or not? Would I need to prove this to a seller and if so, how?

If you are not VAT registered you do not even mention the VAT as it is no concern to you. You simply swallow the VAT portion as part of your buying price.
