Default small parcel from china-doubles my product price

Hello,

I have a problem of geting my product from china, its not a big order and it cost to ship by air nearly 300GBP

With courier it's 550 GBP

order is about 5 boxes by 10kg
total 50kg

Is there alternative ways to get the product to england ?
I would go by sea but they have a minimum 1CBM and my order is only 0.15CBM

Maybe I could share my shiping with someone else geting products from same area?
Where would I find such a company ?

thank you

I presume by the prices you are quoting you are arranging the shipping via a UK shipping agent/courier account?

WHat's the dimensions of each box? You should really be paying beween $5 - $10 per kilo for express (door to door) via Hong Kong (originating from China). Realistically on a small value order, the supplier will mark up the shipping, even so you should not be paying more than a couple of hundred dollars.

thats an interesting point. I'v been told about that minimum from my supplier. Tomorow I will find out.

Dimensions of thouse boxes 40x25x32 (cm)

As that has been mentioned 200 usd would be just perfect.

Could anyone advice me a company to contact ? as I have googled it and got so many companies...

By sea add another £100 for customs clearence + delivery this end.

Courier is the only viable way. Double check the prices with your suplier.

With your mentioned price my should be as folows 650/15*5= 216.6 GBP

But probably my order is smaller then they give a higher price for it.

as i have said I had a price from china 300GBP.

I dont need door to door service-i can collect it. Maybe I could find a broker who would stick my products with some other shipments for smaller charges than 300GBP ?

You shouldn't even be paying £300 for courier let alone airport to airport. You'd still need a customs agent to clear it through customs (£50-£100).

Once your shipment get to the airport you'll need a customs agent to clear it through customs. It's only a little paper work but they charge extortionate rates. A courier will do it for around £15.

Get back to your supplier and ask them to double check their prices.
