Default Importing footwear from the States..

I've searched the net, and I can't find the import rates for these - obviously the pdf from a few years back doesnt help much. Seeing as I can't call anyone to find out the amount of duty payable I'd appreciate it if anyone would enlighten me.

Zak.

Yeh the duty is high but there is still profit to be made on SOME footwear. Find one that is selling for less $ than £ (which there are some) and you can make a killing. Or if you get some trainers that are limited edition in the US you can make a fortune if you hold on to them for 6 months.

I was toying with the idea once of importing footwear but seeing as most were only 5% (10% at most) below RRP in UK plus the duty & VAT it would of been a waste of time.

I agree with uhafmail on the Limited Editions, You would make a killing if they are sought after.
