Question Getting from America

Hi, not sure if this is the right place. But if i buy an item from America, pay pp, get it delivered to someone else, would there be extra charges? Is there like a limit to the price of an item before you pay like tax or what ever, I really don't have a clue. I don't want to order, pay get delivered then they get a customs bill, is that what it is. Sorry I'm not a blonde really, lol.

If the customs folks feel the value is over 18 GBP they could very well get a bill, plus a charge from the Royal Mail for collecting for Customs.

I am working on that very issue right now, as I will be dropshipping across borders.

You can tell them it is coming, and pay them back, but you can not pay it ahead of time.

I don't think many peeps would be happy with that. I'm going to order something for myself and see what happens. Thanks Pete

I had an email from them they say i would be best to order here and i can ship to an American address, so i would have to sell on Ebay.com, or order and send to myus.com for them to ship over. Has anyone had experience with either. Any advice would be great.
Thank you

Andrea

Hi Andrea.

I am from Denmark, and hear that the is a lot of problems with all kind of these companys, for the first is problem with communication, the second is that
you have to give them you credit cards details and people paid lot of extra charges.

Best Regards

If you receive something from US that is merchandise you have to pay VAT if it's over £18.
If it's marked as a gift you have to pay VAT if it's over £36.
If it's coming in with Royal Mail they will also charge an £8 collection fee
