Hi Everybody. A newbie on here but I've been looking for sometime and feel it's a great forum with lots of great information.

I have a question though - I run a small UK based management consultancy company (Limited Company) which is VAT registered.

For the last couple of months, we have been providing consultancy services to a company based in Dublin, Ireland.

The last time we did some work for them (back in 2005), I asked HMRC on the correct VAT rate and they advised me at the time that the supply of consultancy services to an EU state is zero rated for VAT purposes.

Is this still the case?

I've been through the HMRC website and cannot see that this has changed but wanted to check.

Yes they do have an Irish VAT number.
