Import Duty - I havent paid.
Ive imported about £250 worth of spypens now, just ordered another 15.
Whats the story now - am I going to get a knock on the door with men in black suits?
Realistically - when am I liable to go to prison for not paying?
I intend to pay - but setting up websites, sourcing products, shipping has taken up the time - and hell - if I didnt put the time into those things - there'd be no duty to pay anyway.

What carrier delivered the goods to you?

Re: Import Duty - I havent paid.
If they came by Royal Mail you will not have to pay anything. If by courier expect a letter in the post with your charges.

Re: Import Duty - I havent paid.
Do you guys mean that if at my door there stood a royal mail man delivering - then I am safe. But if a courier - then that means the goods were intercepted and opened and then delivered to me by a courier who customs use?
When you say "Charges" - do you mean my "Duty Bill" - or am I being charged legally with importing without paying duty?

Re: Import Duty - I havent paid.
Before you can be given an accurate answer you need to tell us how your goods were delivered? Which company?

I dont know - I wasnt in. They were left in my porch.
What I really want to know is if customs have rumbled my initial efforts at importing - am I in trouble.

Re: Import Duty - I havent paid.
Have you received a bill? If not you don't have to do anything until you do.

Re: Import Duty - I havent paid.
No - I havent had a bill.
How long do they take - assuming they are producing one? Any ideas?

Am I getting the impression that customs havent and are not going to "do" me?
