Saw this news article, thought some members may be interested in reading... It is about various EU websites selling electronic products not complying with EU laws... Not clearly showing an address, Not clearly showing delivery charges, and not clearly states consumers have the right to return products within 7 working days without giving a reason...

I never knew about this law:

"Others failed to explain the right to have a faulty product repaired or replaced for at least two years after sale"

Its the Distance Selling Regulations, It's just BBC has failed to quote the actual directive internet based companies have to comply with, along with mailorder etc.

Also there are some references to The Ecommerce Regulation - Showing address and prices etc.

Under UK Law the Sales of Goods Act, technically a seller can be liable in a UK court of law for faulty items up to a period of five to six years. However it is inherently dependant on how long the item is expected to last defined as a reasonable time.
