Im 14 years old, What do i need to do?

I was a registered sole trader at the age of 14. Still am, VAT registered and payed tax.

If you need any help setting it all up give us a shout!

Technically there is no lower age limit but you have to be 18 to be able to sign a legally enforceable contract. If you are under this age then you must find an adult guarantor for your contracts.

You can do any job over 16 but there are very strict rules about employment of school age children including types of work as well as hours of work. And these do apply to employing yourself.

But if you work for yourself then it's your choice to do so. So it wont be child labour or anything.

If your eBay business is in your name then be careful as eBay can be very funny about people under the age of 18 operating accounts. They may even shut it down if they find out. It might be worth while to trade under your dad/family name for the meantime if that's not what your already doing.

14 and trading though, good on yah, hope you do well.

go to your local council they run 1 day 3 day courses which will be good for you
