Default VAT / import duties explained

Hi ,

Since there are a lot of questions regarding importing the goods from Ara, here is how things work importing the stuff.

- Shipment from UK - to you country in Europe (EU) - If, and only if the goods are from the UK then there will be no VAT taxes and import duties for you.

If your carrier charge you for this then he is absolutely not right!

Important is that the goods that ARA sends are UK manufactured, or imported (VAT and import taxes werer already paid by ARA).

This counts for both companies and private customers whenever they are within the European Region

If you order from a non - EU country you have to pay extra VAT and import duties..

If you order quantities of more the 100 then you import from the US and you HAVE to pay extra VAT and import costs in other countries. Most of the time Fedex will charge extra afterwards.

This is when you are a company or private customer the same!

Do your advantage with this information!
Kind Regards,

Basically, the supplier charges the buyer a few $ on top of the purchase value, say $3

Then the supplier has three choices -

- Either try and aviod the VAT illegally

- Or They pay any VAT that you incur, (hence they will want to reduce the amount illegally)

- Or pay the VAT up on shipment!

But I am sure ARA can clear this one up!

VAT insurance is a fraud, and the only way a supplier can offer it is if they miss declare the value which means you and them are breaking the law.

As I said illegal, unless the supplier pays the full amount then it would not be illegal!

Think about it though, for a payment of say $3 no seller will take on a liability of say $100, so they break the law which means you break the law too.

OK everybody...let me clear this up!

When I import these into the UK, I will pay the VAT and import duty.
As the EU is a free trade zone, when I send the goods out to customers in the EU, they don't have to pay any VAT or import duties.
