I wouldn't be too concerned that most members don't actually post. I used to run a large 'fan' forum related to Buffy The Vampire Slayer (shaddup! ) and the people who frequented it were madly passionate about it. I mean passionate! And yet, the vast majority of members only ever lurked. No idea why, but it seems to be the norm on all kinds of forums.

Interestingly, once they actually posted a couple of times they usually stuck around.

This type of forum is a little different and you probably will get a large group who just want to post their links and bugger off. Pity because they miss out on the whole networking thing.

But yeah, the majority are only ever gonna be lurkers. It's the way of it I guess.

I think this a great post and agree with everything said.

There must be several new members joining daily and we probably don't ever hear from half of them. I don't know whether its because people are worried about asking questions, think they know everything already or were just hoping for some free supplier information, but that isn't what the forum is about.

With regards to the sticky, how about a brief introduction and then get a few members to write some testimonials about the forum, just an idea but could work well

iam lapper from midwest usa new here, trying to buy and sell laptops ripped off several times , too many dont know how to peresecute the american ones and just looking to buy some dell laptops and resell they seem to do alright or anything else with a proven legal ethical moral way of money making

Put an advert in the wanted section. You won't have much luck because Dell sell through re-sellers and official distribution. Couldn't even get them on dabs.com last time I checked.

It's so easy to buy stock today, so many companies open trade accounts from £50 pls delivery and vat, It's getting rid of stock quickly and getting your £50 quid back + profit without too much hard work that i find hard! lol
