Wink My offerings + I don't wanna go through that again! In need of guidance....

Hello all!

Firstly may I say what an awesome site this...it looks like I found you guys in the nick of time! I have managed to rescue just over £8000 (still unfortunately lost just over £1000 but I'm working on getting that back.....some how!!??!!)

For those who don't know what this is all about, I recently did a deal with a so called company named Barillo Services/CMB Electronics and nearly lost nearly £10000 to them. Thanks to all you guys that assisted me on this site within about an hour of posting a plee of help in the 'Name and Shame' category of this forum, I acted immediately on the guidance and succesfully managed to recover the above sum.

So how chuffed am I right now ..... think the Banana says it all! Once again a massive thank you to all

So, although I'm a newbie I guess I gained a lot of experience in very short space of time which I'll summarise a few points here!

1. Before placing an order, do your homework on them first! If you find a new company look for them metioned here, if not ask about them here...I know I will be from now on!
2. If you place an order and make payment but then become uncomfortable with the deal or if you find anything that un-nerves you pull out immediately and contact the organisation from which you made the payment. Don't hang about...particularly in the case of Wire Transfers. I paid a sum from my Nationwide and it was in the new account in 2 working days! Great if you forget to pay a bill, terrible if you realise you've just got caught up in a scam
3. Be persistant and chase/follow things up! Inveriably, the people you make contact with will put down the phone and pick up the phone to a whole host of other customers to which your report gets moved down the queue or when you call up you find the person who your report was passed to is on holiday, as I found out! You'll be glad you made these calls believe me...
4. You have to do things yourself! I called into my local police station, with which I was told this issue was not a police matter and I should call Trading Standards. I later found out that was baloney. You should call Trading Standards, but do you know what they told me? Go to the Police... so I did! Infact I called the london metropolitan police who advised I was miss informed by my local police and took a statement which was passed to another division with which I was advised I would be called by the investigator dealing with this inccident...well still waiting for that call and we are nearly into a new week now! I don't know what goes on in the background but I know I'm certainly not being informed. So as I said you should make every attempt at getting your money back yourself!

So I've offered a few pointers there based on my experiences. I hope it helps those of you whom are unlucky to fall fowl of scammers. Additionally, follow this link to the part of the forum where I obtained my guidance:

Barillo Services / Cmb Electronics Have Just Done Me Out Of £10000! Pleas Help!

If you still need help then ASK!

Which leads me nicely to a new question for myself!

Can anyone advise me of any legitimate wholesale companies whom sell Apple Ipod's, Xbox 360's, Playstation 3's & Nintendo Revolution's (when they are released of course) and Apple Laptops? I am struggling to source such companies and as you will probably appreciate I don't want go through another scam if I can help because it seriously isn't good for the heart!

Many thanks to ALL!

Regards,

Andrew - EYElectronics

Default www.barillo-services.com

There is yet another site claiming to be Barillo Services Ltd. www.barillo-services.com Barillo Services Ltd. is a registered company so it is possible that the other sites have been trying to imperonate them. If you have any information about them, please let me know. Here is an E-mail I just sent to them.

Hi, as I do before giving a large sum of money to any company I check them out first to make sure they are not a scam. In my research I found this, http://www.thewholesaleforums.co.uk/...hp/t-3656.html
It is clear from this forum that there is someone at least claiming to be Barillo Services Ltd who is a scam. However, Barillo Services Ltd is listed as a registered company which makes me think one of two things. Either you are in fact ligitimate and someone else is trying to impersonate your company, or you too are a scam. If you and your company are legitimate I thought I would bring this to your attention, as I think you would want to know. If you are a scam, well, good luck the investigations. Obviously, I am not going to purchase anything at your site untill I get to the botom of this.

Sincerly, Avi Weiss

I will let you konw if I get a response.

Look deeper into it

http://www.whois.sc/cmb-electro.com
http://www.whois.sc/barillo-services.com

Both the same people/person/scammer Both websites have the same IP and both created this year!!

The details on companies house can be for the original company that probably are legit and and don't know some body is trying to use there name to scam people!!

Stay away from both scammers!!

OH MY Gosh! I am so glad I listened to my little voice telling me to investigate this company further before proceeding with my order. I was just a payment away from loosing $1015. I can't believe these people are still out there scamming with the same name.. I mean what's up with that? So what can be done to protect ourselves from further potential scams.
[About me--->in US new to online trading, obviously ]

They now have my address and phone #. Should I worry?

The following is a copy of the e-mail i recieved comfirming my order placement:
