Hello all. Bogdan here, from Romania. I own a wholesale trading registered company, with all the headache that occurs from that
Before throwing stones (I know romanians doesn't have one of the best reputation around) let me tell you that there are some honest people among us. I try to make some money doing wholesale (both import and export) - only genuine goods, no fakes, OEM or replicas, but the main problem I have is the lack of trust. I have done deals with some UK resident businesses, both parts happy, but still the main question was trust. I always provided proof of stock (I only deal with stock IN HOUSE) but still my customers asked me: Yes, great prices, but sending money to ROMANIA ?!?!?
I opened a moneybookers account (paypal don't do Romania), have credit cards to pay online, tryied to play the game by the book, always gaved all my contact details in full, always keeped my customers informed, but at the end of the day my customers THANKED me for sending the the goods THEY PAYED!!! Like they never expected to see them
Well, the deals after went smootly, but always sensed that worry at the slightest glitch which occurs in international trading (and they can come in large numbers).
BTW, If you ever get scammed by a romanian company, I am more than happy to provide you with all the info on that company that I can get from local authority - they really are bad for business.
My question are:
A) What can one do to convince buyers that one's not a scammer.
B) How can I aquire a merchant account for this forum.
