hey, how you doing everyone? hope all is good.

my name is karl and im 21 yrs old.

I am at uni studying computing with business management and have a loan comming my way so i want to make some extra money. i also persuaded about 2 other mates to join me on this venture and we have a nice 4 figure sum rolling. were planning to spread this over different types of items, i.e. clothes, cosmetics, ladies bags etc for variety.
i also work in selfridges and can sneakily take pics of tags on some clothing so i know what im buying is real or fake by looking at the sellers pics. ive caught out a few people on ebay by doing this, didnt contact them or anything but just left it as it was.
im planning to quit my weekend job and just sell on the sunday at a market stall as well to aunties, uncles, their work mates, students at uni etc etc. i will make it work without a doubt.
ive also found a few prices of getting a pitch in camden market and in croydon which dont seem to be bad at all. a friend of a friend has a regular pitch in camden so probably go through her to set it up!

hopefully, i will be speaking and maybe even doing business with some of you soon. good day and take care. karl.

hey there people, what a response, thank you for taking the time for doing so. that was the plan anyway, about finding a reputable and reliable supplier before i actually hand in my notice at work.

im actually doing this so that i may have the saturday off so i can spend more time studying and can rotate the weekends with my friends so each one can run the stall or sales for that weekend.

fah, who wants to work for someone else making them richer and all i get is a paycheck at the end of the month, or working harder and harder just to get noticed and 'maybe' get a promotion in the future. id prefer to spend my time working for myself lol, the more hours i put in, the more finance i get, not someone else gets.

whats great about my situation is that i have 2 good mates who are reliable and are actually on the same level of motivation and perseverance as i do in making this work. we all want our weekends pretty much free to study that bit extra and will make it work between us so we can alternate who does what on each weekend.

thankyou very much for your welcomes and advice.

My reply was sarcastic TBH. Go for it, never regret trying just regret not trying. It may make your fortune..

as im thinking of getting a market stall, how would i have to register the income i make to inland revenue if i do? dont i?
will the tax i need to pay be determined on the amount of income i make on my stall?

what else would i need to think about? if anyone has any points or tips or at least give me some subjects to look up for myself id be thankful.
