Welcome to TWF. I love South Wales. Great people.

My tip would be. Its not the price you sell it for that counts, its the price you buy it for.

Hi,

There are a lot of helpful tips in the forum on how to source products, how to pre-qualify your suppliers, and on online selling in general. You can start by buying wholesale lots that you can resell if a big capital is an issue. Have a look at the Wholesale Marketplace here. There are a lot of great suppliers here that you might be interested in.

Here are some basic information on sourcing products online that you would need to know:

1. Don't buy branded goods from China as a vast majority of products coming from China are fakes.
2. Pay through credit cards or PayPal to add security to your transaction. If something goes wrong, you can have the transaction reversed by contacting your card issuer or PayPal.
3. Only deal with well established suppliers that have been online for at least 2 years, with sufficient contact details available on their website. You can run a Whois Check on your supplier, search for them through Google Maps, do a Google Search on them for reviews and make a post here asking other members who might have dealt with the supplier before.
4. Most designer products are being sold through authorized dealers so be careful with suppliers claiming that what they are selling are authentic. If in doubt, you can always ask for a proof of authenticity.
5. Before deciding to deal with a supplier, give them a call, ask questions and test your supplier by placing a sample order first.

Hope that helps. If you have any questions, ask away! There are a lot of members here who are willing to help out.

All the best,
Haydee

Thanks thats the brick wall my head is against, any traders in the uk I should steer clear of. Bearing in mind I want to only sell authentic items my reputation will depend upon this
