Anybody else seen this on the eBay reviews section? Wonder how many people exploited this while they had the chance?

the policy was called Refund & Retain, it did exist, but now they have withdrawn it due to miss-use. More and more people were posting in forums(1 main one) of what could be got from different stores.

The main item found to be the most often miss priced was in the Meat section, from time to time there was electrical items marked up wrong.

Another, for what became known as R&R's, was the price marked stock, sometimes in the beer section, but mainly on the price marked stock in the ready meals or cooked meat area.

If you are wondering how I know all this then I used to be a store manager for Tesco, until I seen the light!!!

The new policy is now to refund the difference, and if you are lucky to get a little extra £2.50 voucher to spend in store. Also ASDA have the same policy of giving you £2.50 voucher if they over charge you.

I use to work in dunnes (irish tesco).

they have a policy if the right price is not displayed, say there's a watermelon with a price for grapes in front of it, they would get it for free.

load of people knew of this and would chance there arm moving the the prices around, use to get the same people in every week doing it.

Going through the grocery checkout I tell them if it don't scan it's free, but I haven't got anyone to go along with it yet,

Many years ago Boots offered phillips c12 mobiles at xmas on buy one get one free offer, I bought quite a few and a week later returned the mobiles for a refund but keeping the free ones, stating they had been given away since they were "free" as pressies. The manager was not very happy, but I pointed out if they had to be returned they could not have been "free" as stated, and we could let TS decide.

I got the refund which was authorised by their HQ but the manager was also told to rip the signs down and finish the promotion, which was helpful since I couldn't compete with the offer at the time
