Hi,

sorry i have not been posting for a few days been sooooo busy!

I am rebuilding the website as some of you know, and i am after your advice.

So far we are putting a forum like this on there dedicated to gamers, using vbulletin.
Adding a wholesale and a retail page as well as all the different products,

BUT i need something that is going to make people think WOW this must have cost a fortune and tell all thier freinds about it!

I am using dreamweaver and flash mx but brave net are going to host it

Any ideas?

The best thing to do is keep it simple and not go over the top that way it will look somewhat more professional.

The trick is indeed to keep it simple, beautiful, stylish and easy to navigate on. Personally, I wouldn't use programs such as dreamwaver, as not everyone has the required software installed on his/her PC, which makes you loose customers

Dreamweaver justs converts the files into HTML format so there is nothing wrong with using it.

keep its simple...but effective. I dont like those flash sites were you've gotta wait 1-2 minutes for something to load so i always click skip intro so theres a load of ideas someone had on flash for me to view and i couldnt be bothered... and im sure im not the only one who clicks skip intro.
Keep things clear, use colours that work well together, keep it bright, put info on the main page that the user will want to know.
Dont use colours that r dark unless they fit into the site as a whole, use graphics that people can relate to and make them clear.
Keep the text simple dont use fancy fonts as these are annoying, i like Arial or Trebuchet as these are plain but stylish and easy to read.

Anyone else agree with this?
