Now i thought when i left my house at 11.40pm that when i got to Asda's it might be slighty busy with the midnight release of COD MW 2 but nothing prepared me for what i was going to see when i walked through the doors !
My Asda like most is a massive store and when i walked into the lobby area i was greeted with the whole area jam packed with people waiting for the midnight release. It was un-believable how many people had turned up to buy the game, i was totally gobsmacked. Not only was the whole lobby area packed, i started to walk round the mass crowd and saw a line of people that stretched as far as i could see. It went on and on and was well past half the length of the store !!
So im standing at the back of this massive que waiting for 12 midnight. Finally it went on sale and we waited and waited and waited ! Now there was whispers going around that they had 500 copies and looking at the amount of people there it was going to be tight. There was various people leavinig there mates in the que and going to see what was going on down the front. Reports came back, there was one person at one till selling them !! I mean how stupid is that !! We all couldnt believe it. There was so many workers in the store yet there was hardly any customers, 500ish people queing for one game and there was one person selling them !! As you can imagine it was very frustrating !! Anyway after 2 hours i finally got to the front and got the game. By this time i was starving, my back was aching and i really needed the toilet !
Im now home writing this and falling a sleep at the same time. After all that i havent got any energy left and kinda no interest in playing the game till tomorrow !!
What we go through to play a bloody video game amazes me but hey we still do it ! (i aint doing it again though!)
And another thing i'll add, to all those people that wonder how they sell the game so cheap - the reason they had one person selling them is because it made the wait longer and made lots of people go off and buy stuff while there waiting hence why they can discount the game so much and it really worked !! Job done for Asda's, £16000 in 2 hours for the game and a hefty chunk of money spent on food and drink !!
Here are some pics of the madness !! Im off to bed, Goodnight !
